Diggin’ This: Róisín Murphy – “Incapable” (Mickey Murphy’s Daughter/Loaded Records/BMG)

Summertime is disco time.

Having enjoyed the musical output of Irish singer and musician Róisín Murphy ever since her Moloko days (I even dropped “Fun For Me” while spinning the warm-up set for James Lavelle late last year in LA), I was more than pleased to see her return in October 2018 with a handful of collaborative releases with the Melbourne-via-Baltimore house music don Maurice Fulton.

Now Róisín is back again with “Incapable,” a slinky and slender, lighter-than-air disco groover created with Sheffield, UK producer DJ Parrot aka Crooked Man aka Richard Barratt that should never ever leave any of your summertime disco time playlists.

Track of the day.
