Diggin’ This: Haelos – “Kyoto” (Infectious Records) (Official Video)

I’m beyond hyped for Haelos‘ forthcoming new album, the most recently released track from which is “Kyoto,” a dark yet uptempo slice of raw electronic soul complete with Kid A piano keys, a grainy VHS rimshot beat, and levitating vocals from Lotti and Dom. My favorite part (and it’s hard to pick just one) is at 1min 47sec when a thumb cymbal or triangle or possibly two sushi knives signal the entry of three descending minimal synth bass notes that pull you even further into the song.

Track of the day.
