Originally from the town of Bor on the Upper Nile in what is now South Sudan and now residing in Melbourne, Australia, Ajak Kwai performs in English, Arabic, and her native language, Dinka.
“I’ll Be Your Eyes” is a blues-infused South Sudanese funk rhythm, my favorite part of which is when that double-time beat enters at around the 2min 55sec mark.
