Diggin’ This: Wool and the Pants – “Bottom of Tokyo” (People’s Potential Unlimited)

That ever-so-casual Shibuya strut.

“Bottom of Tokyo” is an unbothered groover from Japanese trio and my personal new favorite band name Wool and the Pants. Consisting of Yu Tokumo on guitar/vocals, Kento Enokida on bass, and Aki Nakagomi on drums, Wool and the Pants (Wool and the Pants!) craft loose and lo-fi experimentations in songwriting that are influenced by the sonic palettes of Can and Haruomi Hosono.

Shout to Andrew Jervis for turning me on to this gem via his rather excellent Bandcamp Weekly show.

Track of the day.
