Neuroscientist-turned-music producer Sam Shepherd bka Floating Points is preparing to release his debut album, Elaenia.

The first song to be aired from the upcoming LP is “Silhouettes,” an edited version of the eleven-minute album track, ‘‘Silhouettes (I, II & III).”

Love those familiar, floaty, pointy keys and strings.

And just when you think a kick is about to drop at 0:51, a warm jazz drum loop enters the mix instead.
