“We wanted to create a world for people to fall into…”

British psychedelic rockers Temples recently came to Los Angeles to play one of the best shows I’ve seen all year at the Roxy in West Hollywood on the iconic Sunset Strip.

James Bagshaw, Dan Digs, Tom Warmsley.

The Kettering, Northamptonshire four-piece have only been together for just over twelve months, but in that time have managed to release their first album, get on the bill at Coachella, and have Noel Gallagher call them “the best new band in Britain.” Not a bad year.

I caught up with lead singer James and bassist Tom right before their Roxy gig in this segment I produced for NUVOtv‘s flagship music program, The Collective.

Rather appropriately, it looks like we’re standing in some kind of English country garden, even though we’re just behind the venue a block away from the rock ‘n’ roll commotion of the Strip.
