Brooklyn ambient rock group Family Band describe their music as “heavy mellow.”
While Johnny Ollsin, Kim Krans, and Scott Hirsch’s particular brand of dark and solemn, starless sky indie is indeed heavy, mellow, and strangely engaging, it’s the twinkling guitar line from Grizzly Bear‘s Daniel Rossen that makes this record.
