No stranger to collaborating with some of the world’s finest musicians (Gorillaz, SBTRKT, Machinedrum, Brasstracks, to name just a few, and, if you haven’t already, you really need to hear her vocal feature on Shy FX’s anthemic “Raver”) Roses Gabor is a uniquely UK soul sonic force.

 

 

Here on “Illusions,” she teams up with Sampha for a 90mph quasi-drum-and-bass excursion complete with energizing handclaps, digital bleeps, and uplifting harmonies.

 

 

(Also, really wouldn’t mind hearing that new riff that enters at 3min 25sec get turned into another collaboration between the two!)
