Seven and I talked about learning how to DJ in Gilles Peterson’s basement, the Wiz, Notting Hill Carnival, writing his hit single “One” when he was 17 years old, dropping Michael Jackson at 6am while DJing in East London clubs, perfectly placed hi-hats, and his fantastic new album, Live from the Other Side, out via his own imprint Secret Angels on November 7.
