This week we welcomed one of my favorite musicians and bassist for Tune-yards, Nate Brenner, better known as Naytronix, to the studio!
We talked about his musical upbringing, how his dad would tell Nate’s school that Nate was sick so he could skip class and be taken to see the Meters in New Orleans, the rich eclecticism of music coming out of Oakland right now, and how being on the road builds up music inside you that transforms into fully-formed songs when you return home.
