Diggin’ This: Hiatus Kaiyote – “By Fire”

Hiatus Kaiyote‘s brand new songs are so good it’s not even fair. They are my favorite band of the moment.

Large spherical synths, apocalyptic operatic vocals, Stevie funk keyboard runs, tighter-than-tight live drums, and that’s all before the first chorus. I’ve got a feeling that “By Fire” has immediately won a place in my Top 10 song list of 2014.
