One Little Plane ft Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood – “She Was Out in the Water” (Produced by Four Tet)

Every once in a while I’ll take a dive head-first into the weird and wonderful gym-bag that is “folktronica” (see Beth Orton and the Chems’ collaborative output, see also the rather excellent Perfect Darkness LP by Fink last year, see also many other things).

So when the Internet asked me this morning whether or not I would like to hear a Chicagoan folk song by singer Kathryn Bint produced by producer Four Tet with bass duties provided by Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood, I said yes, yes I would.

Just so you know, if you’re expecting an eventual 4/4 heavy-housey thump from Four Tet to come in, like I was, it never does.

 

Still a lovely, lovely song, though.
