Probably the most potent jazz groove I’ve heard that references crushing a grape varietal.

Glad I didn’t make that Top 100 Tracks of 2023 list just yet, because this is definitely going on there.
Karriem Riggins handles the drums and Madlib builds the instrumentation on top on their second album together as Jahari Massamba Unit, the first being 2020’s Pardon My French.
“Stomping Gamay” is a sprightly and clear-skied instrumental that has me reaching for the repeat button before the track is even finished.
Love that bass.
