Diggin’ This: YĪN YĪN – “Takahashi Timing” (Glitterbeat Records)
A highly danceable tropical indie-pop groove recorded in the Belgian countryside, naturally.
YĪN YĪN returns with “Takahashi Timing.”
The Dutch four-piece from Maastricht have been cooking up a melting pot of sounds for their new album, which reportedly “occupy(s) a no man’s land between Khruangbin and Kraftwerk, surf music and Southeast Asian psychedelia, Stax soul and mutant 80s disco, City pop and Japanese instrumental folk (sōkyoku).”
Love, love, love that synth bass.
YĪN YĪN – “Takahashi Timing”
“Takahashi Timing” is taken from YĪN YĪN‘s forthcoming third album, Mount Matsu, out January 19 via Glitterbeat Records.
