Album of the Week: Las Los – Las Los

 

The duo who first met while playing in Charles Bradley’s touring band.

 

 

 

Max Shrager (The Shacks) and Paul Schalda (The Sha La Das) are Las Los.

 

 

The pair’s new self-titled LP combines soul, blues, folk, psychedelia, jazz, and country. It features instrumental performances from members of The Shacks, Thee Sacred Souls, and Kane & James.

 

 

 

 

The whole album is loose, free, and brilliant. Here’s my favorite song from it.
