Weird Together ft Yaw Boateng & Karima Madut – “Chale” (Official Video)

I’ve been obsessed with Ghana’s azonto rhythms and saying “chale” a lot ever since hearing E.L.’s dancey and ridiculously catchy “Obuu Mo.”

Suffice to say I was extremely pleased to stumble upon Weird Together: the very excellent new global music project from New Zealand DJs and George FM hosts Nick D and Dick Johnson.

Featuring Caribbean steel pan orchestras, Burundian drum ensembles, Sudanese vocalists, and Ghanian master percussionists. What exactly is there not to love?
