Together they make experimental, beat-driven, indie-folk as Sylvan Esso.

 

Their previous single, “Hey Mami,” with its handclaps, layered vocals, and mean synth bass was one of my favorite songs of last year. It came in at number 20 in my Top 100 tracks of 2013. (Listen to this Top 100 mix here.)
